First established in Korea in 1947, LG produced the country's first radio in 1959, formally entering the electronics arena. It has since evolved to become a worldwide power player and posted the world's highest sales in air conditioners, under the brand name Whisen, in January 2006.

LG offers window-mount and through-the-wall air conditioning units as well as floor-standing and ceiling cassette models. LG's window-mount units are charged with environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant and feature four-way air deflection, 12-hour digital timers, three fan speeds and a remote control. Window-mount units offer up to 18,000 BTUs and can cool up to 1,000 square feet of space.

LG's unique Art Cool 2006 line offers up to 9,000 BTUs of cooling power disguised to look like a piece of wall art with a customizable front panel. These stylish units carry an economical SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) of 13 and feature an auto sleep mode, 24-hour on/off timer and evaporator frost control.

Through-the wall models offer up to 13,200 BTUs of cooling capacity with the specialized Gold Fin anti-corrosion treatment for added durability. SEER ratings range from 8.5-9.6. These units feature an auto sleep mode, auto restart and 12-hour on/off timers. All through-the-wall systems come with complete installation and trim kits to facilitate attractive installation.

LG offers floor standing air conditioners featuring 30,000 and 48,000 BTUs of three-dimensional cooling power. These units utilize an ultra quiet turbo fan and offer comfortable, cool, dry air without disruption. Their ceiling cassette units also operate with an ultra quiet turbo fan and feature four-way cooling, a dehumidifying mode and a 24-hour timer.

LG also offers multi-zone models that operate two or three units mounted in separate rooms. Each unit has a remote control so that temperatures can be set individually. LG air conditioners carry a two-year parts warranty and a five-year warranty on compressors.
